Missions
At Heritage, we believe in living out the Gospel by sharing the love of Christ with our community and those in need around the world. Discover how we strive to be the hands and feet of Jesus and to have a positive impact through our various outreach initiatives. Join us in our journey to spread kindness and hope!

CHRISTMAS JOY OFFERING*. This offering is traditionally collected by Heritage on Christmas Eve. Â A gift to this fund helps provide financial assistance to current and former church workers and their families and also enables deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related colleges and schools.

DEACON'S FUND. The Deacon's Fund has been a cornerstone of our church's mission for many years. Every third Sunday of the month, we take a special offering to support this vital initiative. The funds collected are utilized by our Board of Deacons to help members of our community with essential needs such as prescription medications, medical bills, gas, groceries, and emergency assistance. Your contributions make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.

POSTMA ELEMENTARY. We are proud to be community partners with Postma Elementary School in the Cypress-Fairbanks School District. Since 2013, our commitment has included hosting welcome breakfasts for the staff, providing treats and tokens of appreciation, and mentoring students. Additionally, we've served as "Bus Buddies" to ensure children find their way on school buses, and contributed to Christmas baskets to support families in need during the holidays. As our partnership grows, we look forward to expanding our support for the wonderful families and staff of Postma Elementary.
CY-FAIR HELPING HANDS. Since 2023 Heritage has partnered with Cy-Fair Helping Hands to help Cy-Fair homeless become self-sufficient. CFHH includes a Community Food, family services, scholarships for underprivileged students, a Homeless Street Outreach, a Homeless Day Center, and events and programs during the holidays and back-to-school times. CFHH serves 14 zip codes within the Cy-Fair ISD school boundaries.

ONE GREAT HOUR OF SHARING*. This offering is collected around Easter.  A gift to One Great Hour of Sharing enables the church to share God’s love with our neighbors-in-need around the world by providing relief to those affected by natural disasters, provide food to the hungry, and helping to empower the poor and oppressed.
SEW POWERFUL. At Heritage, we are proud to support Sew Powerful on months with a 5th Sunday by donating our plate offerings. This incredible organization is dedicated to combating extreme poverty in Zambia through their women and girls empowerment initiative, proving training and sewing jobs for adults. Schoolgirls receive a gift of a donated purse filled with the menstrual health supplies needed to attend school all month. Additionally, Sew Powerful feeds thousands of hungry school children in partnership with Convoy of Hope. They also share the Good News by distributing the Book of Hope, a graphic novel version of the New Testament written in local languages.
CYPRESS ASSISTANCE MINISTRIES. Heritage supports the Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) food pantry with a food drive twice per year. In addition, in June we have a special drive, Peanut Butter & Jam for CAM, to help children who may not receive school lunch support over the summer. CAMÂ helps individuals and families who have experienced an unexpected emergency resulting in a financial hardship. Each client meets with an assistance counselor to determine the type of assistance that will best move them back on the road to self-sufficiency. CAM offers financial assistance, food, help for job seekers, GED classes, ESL classes, and food deliveries to homebound seniors. These services are available to those living in zip codes 77065, 77095, 77429, and 77433.

PEACE & GLOBAL WITNESS OFFERING*. This offering is collected on World Communion Sunday, which is the first Sunday in October. Â Offerings promote the Peace of Christ by addressing systems of injustice across the world. Individual congregations are encouraged to utilize up to 25% of this Offering to sustain their local peacemaking ministries.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING. Join us every January as we participate in the "Souper Bowl of Caring," a wonderful initiative dedicated to helping those in need. We invite you to contribute non-perishable cans and packages of soup to support our community. Together, we can make a difference and show kindness to who may be struggling. Let's tackle hunger and spread warmth this winter!
UNDIES FOR EVERYONE. Join us in our mission to provide "Undies for Everyone," where we strive to provide new underwear for needy school-age children. Many kids have access to donated clothing and supplies, but often lack the essentials of clean, new underwear. This isn't just a small issue; it can impact a child's confidence and well-being. On our designated "Undie Sundie," we collect packages of clean children's underwear to donate to this fantastic organization. Together, let's make a difference!
*Offerings marked with an asterisk * are part of the PC(USA) Special Denominational Offerings.
